Tom Cavalier-Smith Prize
The Tom Cavalier-Smith prize recognizes contributions to evolutionary protistology, or related fields (e.g. protist biology, diversity or ecology), by early career researchers.
Update January 16th 2024: We are pleased to announce that we are extending the deadline for Tom Cavalier-Smith prize nominations to January 31st, and that in light of the complicating factor of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are extending eligibility to 4 years post-PhD.
Candidates should be advanced PhD students or junior postdocs (up to 4 years post-PhD, updated), and ISEP members. They can be nominated by a senior scientist but self-nominations are also possible. Nominees should answer a few questions on their motivation. Nomination and nominee forms are available below.
Recipients of the TCS prize will be invited to give a lecture in the next ISEP meeting.
Filled forms must be sent to isep.protists@gmail.com
